Have you heard the phrase "don't fix what isn't broken'? Well the hanging leg raises are a tried and true core/abdominal exercise that has been around for years and will always be regarded as a very effective exercise. There has been variations over the years but it still remains a staple in many moderate to advanced strength training programs. It requires you to use upper body, core and lower body muscle groups to control the movement so as not to swing and create momentum which in turn is cheating and poor technique.
