This system of teaching martial arts has been acclaimed by many parents to be the best children’s martial arts training they have ever experienced.
Sensei Don Johnsen began teaching martial arts in 1992 in Farmingdale, New York for a popular franchise martial arts school. In 1993 he went on to opening his own martial arts studio in Westbury, New York. Sensei Don’s teaching method began to draw boys and girls of all ages throughout Nassau County to come join in.
Over the past 25 years, Sensei Don has developed a complete, dynamic approach to teaching children’s martial arts, combining Kempo Karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At our Best Kids Karate headquarters, located at 2803 Merrick Road in Bellmore, your child will learn the Best Kids Karate complete self defense system.
At Best Kids Karate your child will learn to physically defend themselves, both standing and on the ground, while learning a combination of Kempo Karate and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques. They will learn to stand up for themselves by not allowing others to push them around, while also learning to be respectful and courteous to others.
